Position papers from the National Council of the U.S. Society of St. Vincent de Paul serve as a high-level overview of national anti-poverty issues that act as a guidepost to our advocacy. These papers show the National Council’s stand on these issues and are bolstered by Catholic Social Teaching. Each paper has an Appendix or Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) section where Vincentians can find more information.
These papers are updated by the Voice for the Poor Committee, with support and input from other national committees, the National Board, the President, and the CEO. The papers are voted on by the Board and National Council Members.
